Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 7.4 is now available to download for Photoshop Elements 11. More information regarding the additonal camera support added can be found at link here. For updating your camera raw plug-in in Photoshop Elements 11 follow the steps mentioned in blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/pselements/adobe-camera-raw-7-4-is-now-availabl e-for-photoshop-elements-11/
.........Your application is up to date
I think this update is available for Lightroom and CS6 but not yet fully rolled out for Elements in all teritories.
I think so... no problem to update Lightroom here. I am not in a hurry as I don't have a new camera.
Have downloaded ACR 7.4 but does not want to function. Application manager says 'I'm good' and fully updated. Organizer can see the NEFs and looks as if it's importing them but then I get a message that it does not support the application. I've downloaded three times now and rebooted. I'm on Windows 7 and PSE11. What's a man to do please?
Ah see it. It says 18.104.22.168. Have checked the other route and it says I'm
fully updated. So where has my 7.4 download gone I wonder? Think I'll
forget it and load ViewNX2 then wait for PE12 to come out.
Thanks for the help anyway.
Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)
Windows download click here DNG Converter 7.4
Mac download click here DNG Converter 7.4
You can convert a whole folder of raw images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:
I dowlnloaded the DNG converterseveral hours ago but of course it only converts raw files that are on the pc in the first place! So as I can't get the raw file on in Elements it's a chocolate tea pot.
I'll just have to shoot in jpg and do a better job in camera. I'll continue shooting raw on my d90.
Really appreciate your efforts. Thanks
I think that everyman and his dog are trying to download the updates and the Adobe servers are being overloaded. i have just tried getting the lightroom 4.4 update and the link was giving me the 4.3 update.
I think that it should settle down soon.
In case you are not able to get it visible in Updates section download the Camera Raw 7.4 from http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2011/03/keeping-photoshop-up-to-date .html#notconnected and run the AdobePatchInstaller file.
