Is it possible to add buttons to footer of panel?

Most of the default panels in CS applications have buttons available in the footer area (i.e. where the resize UI is located). In a custom panel made via Extension Builder, is possible to access that area and add objects to it? I'm particularly looking to do this for an InDesign panel I am creating.

 

For example, the screen shot below is of the Kuler panel.

    That's just the bottom part of the swf.

     

    To get the look you want make sure to set showStatusBar="false" Then you have the full height of the panel to play with (minus maybe a pixel or two). You want to keep your elements a little in from the right so they are not obscured by the gripper. It's rectangular...
