I had a laptop that crashed, luckily I had a backup HDD. I have several files that are written in green and it will not let me open them. Some how I created them in a safe mode with the other machine. Now on my new machine, it will not let me open them. If I could get to a dialogue box asking me for passwords, etc. , i know I could open it if that is what it is since I always use the same one. Its my taxes from last year and I need some numbers for this years filing, so I am in a bind.
Any suggestions, please let me know.
If I try to open it, it says "There was an error opening this dococument. Access is denied."
If I try to move it, it says "You will need administrator permission to copy this file."
I have Adobe Reader XI, version 11.0.1 - I do not remember what I had on my old laptop that created them - it was through Turbo Tax.
I have also found various other pdf's I cannot open of lesser importance as well that give me the save errors. I know they were created with a pdf printer type software.
Thanks for any help.
