Wondering if there has been a solution found for the inability to scale to fit function when a project is taken into Encore from PP?
Im getting black bars on the sides of my image & Ive noticed from old posts this has been a problem in the past which I was hoping was resolved. It seems when I Dynamicly Link to PP & use custom encode options the scale to fit doesnt work?
As of CS6, you want the "scale to fill," not scale to fit. Scale to fit leaves a small black band.
The problem in part has been getting the "automatic" setting in Encore to work like this.
Do you have CS6?
Yes Im on CS6 & i am using scale to fill but no joy unfortunately. I had to resort to encoding using encoder then bringing each file into Encore. Its a shame as I really love the simplicity of importing my sequences using ADL.
Then you are not actually selecting the preset. Once you are out of the "Edit Quality Preset" window, you must then select that preset.
Another CS4 screenshot, but still the same. This is the "Transcode Settings" window (with the project panel behind). To the Transcode Settings window, to the right, you can see the "Edit Quality Presets" button that takes you to the same window you can also access from File -> Edit Quality Presets. Until you select a preset, it does not change.
Thanks Stan yeh I realised that but it still hasnt helped. I am using a project that is comprised of 1080P vision & trying to encode a standard DVD. I'm doing a test now using the transcode now option. It is transcoding without the bars ok. Then Ill build the project & see what the finished product looks like. I'll let you know.
Yep that worked Stan. There seemed to be a bit of a hiccup with the encode at the start ( a couple of dodgy frames) but other than that it seems that is a good workaround.
Thanks a lot for your help.
