difficulty exporting as pdf to

Apr 7, 2013 3:13 AM

Hi,

I've placed two pdfs side by side on two pages in InDesign CS6, but when I export to Acrobat XI the files still appear on top of one another. How do I get the pages to stay next to each other?

Thank you

When exporting the file to PDF, check the "Spread" option in the General section.

Can you show us some screen shots? Are you saying that you want to view two-page spreads in Acrobat or reader (which is different from exporting spreads, and which you should NOT do if this is to be printed and bound)? Viewing pages next to each other is a view choice in Acrobat, and you can set that as the initial view in the file in Acrobat pro after you export, but you can't keep users from doing wahtever they like after they open the file.
