Is CS4 now obsolete? If there is something I need to do to reinstall an updater or some such thing--easy peasy step by steps instructions would be appreciated for this granny--nothing that refers to roots (do you mean carrots?). Thanks. I hate to think a program that cost over a $1000 has gone the way of the dodo.
I use Nikon D90 and D7000. It has worked with these cameras in the past.
In fact just today I started getting the message. I wonder if it is a
problem with latest update. I use CS4 as a plugin to LR4. A while back I
could no longer upload photos in layers through LR4. Now it won't accept
my Nef files at all. I downloaded all the updates just now. But now CS4
asks me download updates again. I saw somewhere on this forum very complex
instructions for removing something from the library folder and then
installing updates again. Beyond my computer skills. Any help you could
offer would be appreciated.
With CS4 you can only update to adobe camera raw 5.x. THat will work with the D90 but for the D7000 you need ACR 6.3. For that you would need CS5 or above.
Table says you need 3.3 Lightroom for the D7000. So it should work in LR4.
Would assume CS4 and Lightroom 4 are different products and have no connection, but could be wrong.
I don't use Lightroom so perhaps some else can help there.
Thanks Curt. I have latest Mac os. I know LR and PS are different products
but they are both Adobe products. They should play nice. Golly, so I need
to use my old camera to work with my old software. Darn it.
