I purchased Adobe Photo Shop Elements 11 and photos were deleted from my computer. when I called for support I reached someone from India who was clueless and basically Adobe doesn't support their products!!!!!
I have done everything possible to find the photos and they are gone!!! I have searched in every place possible and I'm telling you they don't exist. The sad thing is, I took the photos a week or so ago and deleted them from my camera so they don't exist now! What's even worse is that Adobe doesn't offer support for this product.
Renaming the discussion and moving it to the Photoshop Elements forum.
Ls_moc can you please provide some more details regarding the steps you went through prior to the photos disappearing from your compter. It would also be beneficial if you can indicate which operating system you have installed on your computer.
Interesting you changed my post! I still stand by the fact that Adobe doesn't support their products.
The details are as follows:
I installed Photoshop Elements 11 in a normal fashion - I clicked on install. Not much to it. Then I imported all my pictures. Prior to installing Photoshop Elements I had some specific pictures I had taken 2 weekends ago which were present on my C: drive under photos. After installing Photoshop Elements and importing photos these 20 some pictures were gone. And no they weren't in the Recycle Bin or somewhere else on the computer. I looked in every possible place including doing a search. My OS is Windows 8.
Ls_moc the title of the discussion was renamed to be accurate to the specific concern regarding your pictures appearing to be missing.
If you can also post your case number from your previous interaction with our support team I would be happy to review the interaction details.
I never received a case number! I can show you my bank entry where they charged my credit card $39 but Never received a case number. I was even told by a supervisor he would e-mail me information which never happened!
Well thank you! I guess I'm surprised but the next question, when you say support team are you talking about the folks in India who Adobe had contracted with as a 3rd party vendor? That was who I spoke with last night for several hours with no results.
You might take a look at the free utility Recuva.
It recovers deleted files, even ones deleted from the Recycle bin. I have used it successfully to recover deleted files from PC, camera SD card, flash drive, floppy disk.
I just spent several hours over the past few days working with your support person. It was a complete waste of time. His premise from the beginning of the first call was the same as other posters, Adobe doesn't delete photos. What a JOKE! He confirmed what I said from the very beginning. Adobe doesn't support or stand behind their product!
