Not able to open documents

Apr 15, 2013 10:45 AM

I have been downloading Adobe Reader for Mac OS Safari for several days.  Message says download is complete and yet I am not able to open the documents.  They are my IRS returns and I need to be able to review them!

Thanks.

Can you launch Adobe Reader and accept EULA.

Try opening the document from Adobe Reader:

Click File - Open - and locate the PDF files in the Downloads folder

    Thanks

You have to launch Adobe Reader from the Applications folder in Mac OS.

Once you launch the Adobe Reader for the first time, it will show EULA. you have to accept it to use the product.

You don't need to download the product again.

Are you using Safari version 5.1.9? If so, it's possible your issue might be resolved using the workaround posted here:

Workaround for Safari 5.1.9 incompatibility with Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat

You write that you "downloaded" Reader, but did you also install it?
