Web hmtl gallery customization.

Hi, All.

I am working with the Web module in Lightroom 4 (now 4.4) to create an online gallery with photos. I like the layout of the HMTL default template and would like to use. The only problem I found is that I can't seem to find a way to change the size of the thumbnail images and the enlarged photo that appears once the viewer clicks on the thumbnail.

Is there a way to do this ?

TIA.

I don't think you can change  the thumbnail sizes, only how many per page, but you can change the enlarged photo size using the "Image Pages/ Size " slider value.

You can use this modified version if you wish.

    John,

Your version is a terrific improvement over the default one.  Thanks so much for sharing it.

I assume you unzipped the file, Joe, and restarted LR.

That all sounds right (I've tested in 4.4 and 5 Beta). Do you not see it listed in the Layout Style panel? It should display as Lightroom HTML Gallery - JB mod.

It would not be shown in the templates - only in the Layout Style panel (top of right panel).

    Joe,

Are you sure you are putting the correct folder into your LR Web Galleries folder?  When you extract John's ZIP file, you will have a folder called default_html_modified.lrwebengine.  Inside that folder is another folder with the same name.  It's that one that you want to copy -- the one with all of the other files and folders inside it.  See my attached image.

And, as John said, be sure you are looking at the panel on the upper right of the LR window.

    Hope this helps.

    EDIT:  GLAD YOU FOUND IT!

    Hi Joe,

    You are welcome.

As far as simple, straightforward HTML galleries go, John's gallery is perfect in my book.

Juicebox is nice because it will work on non-Flash mobile devices (like iPad, iPhone).  I have not used it.

I use SlideShowPro for LR for my own website, and have found it to be very elegant and easy to work with.  Take a look here:
