I will change settings on a tool, use it for awhile, then change to a different tool. When I return to the first tool, the settings have reverted to the defaults. How do I keep them from changing while I am using a different tool?
That makes no sense, unless you are mistakenly trying to change tools via tool presets - which always load the settings associated with that preset.
Otherwise each tool can only remember the last used settings.
I'll give an example. Using the healing brush, I change the setting from normal to replace. Then I use the magnify tool, and then go back and use the healing brush again. The healing brush will be set on Normal again, rather than Replace the way I had it.
First I click on the healing brush tool from the tools panel. Then at the top in "mode" I choose "replace." After working with that for a while, I select the Zoom Tool to magnify part of the image. Then I once again choose the Healing Brush, same as before. When I do, the mode has changed back from Replace to Normal. If I don't notice that the tool has reverted to Normal and work with it again, I have to redo that work. How do I make it so that when I return to a tool the settings are the same as the last time I used it, so I don't have to keep resetting it?
