Whats a common size and bitrate for publishing a short movie (8 min) 400X220 px? 2 Mb/min?
The question is, how much power do the viewers devices have. 10 years ago it was impossible to stream a movie from the web. Im recording lectures for a business education company. Approx. 8-10 min long for students to watch on the web, iPads, smartphones and similar devices.. The movies are on wordpress.com:s server. Whats a common size that works for most of the devices? Right now im using 400x220 px window and 2 Mb/min. The quality is bad... can I go bigger? any standards nowdays? /Markus
I would recommend you use Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the preset for YouTube SD. This will create an MP4, a very efficient streaming file that will display at 640x480 and yet will load perfectly over the internet and onto portable devices like iPads.
Ok, thanks. 3 min became 59 Mb (too big?) with Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the preset for YouTube SD. I tried Publish+Share / Apple iPad Widescreen High Quality 600x 360 px quite similar and the file size became 22 Mb. What is the different? Does it work for iPads only?
