Exporting completed logo

Apr 17, 2013 8:10 PM

Hello,

I have completed a logo in Illustrator CS6 for my business to be used for printing and a website I am trying to build. I have made the art board fit to the logo and saved a jpg version in the Save For Web option but have noticed the white art board area around the logo has been saved also. Is it possible to get rid of the art board?

When attempting to use the logo whilst building a web page and importing the logo, the white art board is still there surrounding the logo which means the logo can only be used on a white web page.

Thank you

Can you show a screen shot in Illustrator?

Thank you for the screen shot.

OK. JPG does not support transparency. So either there needs to be a background rectangle the same color as your web site, or you need to export as a PNG file with transparency (there's a checkbox in the Save for Web dialog).

    Nice looking logo, btw.

    Take care, Mike
