Cannot insert tables into webpage. Option greyed out.  Using DWmx and windows 7.

I was using Dreamweaver in XP.  Bought new machine with Windows 7.  I cannot insert tables....everything else seems to be working fine.  Is there a known compatiblity issue?  I tried downloading update from Adobe Website, but page/download unavailable.

MX is no longer supported.  It's too old.

    Why don't you download CS6 for a 30-day trial?

Found an answer here. Try it out for what it is worth.

You are in the "Layout View" mode. You will need to switch to the "Standard View" mode. You can do this by clicking on thicon for the "Standard View" mode which can be found on the left hand side of the bottom line in the the Objects panel. (You can invoke the Objects panel with Ctrl + F2.)
