Scroll bar not working in swf when live on web

Hi. I've created a flash document for use on the web that incorporates a default scroll bar component in a text field. The scroll bar works fine when I preview it in flash. Also when it's published it works. When I open the files that I place on the server it also works. For some reason when I go to the URL to see it live the SCROLL BAR SLIDER IS GONE (just the gray shape is there) you can still navigate the text with the scroll wheel on the mouse but the component does not display/function correctly in the swf. Any idea why this is happening??!?!?!?!? I tried rearranging my code in actionscript bringing the external text loading code (that field is loading an external html file) to the top but that didnt help. any ideas? I'm at my wits end!

    if the text that's assigned to your textfield is loaded, that could cause the problem.  you may need to assign the scrollbar to the textfield after text is assigned.

    and here's where you should be assigning (or refreshing) your scrollbar:

    var textLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();

    var textReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest("scc_dw.html");

    function textLoaded(event:Event):void

    {

         scc_txt.htmlText = textLoader.data;

    // assign or refresh scrollbar

    }

    textLoader.load(textReq);

    textLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, textLoaded);
