I have been using CS for awhile, never seen this before. Started when using Win 8 intel i5 computer and CS 6 cloud membership. I have not changed any menus in photoshop or otherwise. I have started new projects and used new menus, different locations, nothing helps. Once before a friend installed a version of CS6 that happened not to be legit, I uninstalled and got the cloud subscription. The issue happened before and after.
Yes, i'm running windows 8 so I right click on the app, then on the bottom menu that appears I chose 'run as administrator' then the dialog box that asks about if you are sure you want the app encore to makes changes.. etc, I accept. Still the issue happens.
Don't know what to say. The only other time I recall this error (which I had forgotten till it was the only thing google produced), it was not sorted out.
I just tried to create it by blatantly changing a menu psd with encore open, closed etc. Could not produce the warning.
I am windows 7, CS6 (regular install, not cloud). I don't think any of that should matter.
It's odd enough that it would move an uninstall/reinstall higher on my list.
Yes is very strange. I'm almost positive it had something to do with the unlegitimate copy installed previously, it might haved modified some adobe default. The person that installed it use something called Adobe tool, which I found it was a shady tool used for hackers... (Kids, don't do drugs and don't install 'free' software)
anyway, I will try disabling some non-essential adobe tasks on the task manager and see what happens.
Thank you very much Stan.
That's right, although I was hoping to find someone else that have had the same issues so maybe that person had a more especific clue, such as deleting some files or services, or changing defaults on adobe files, etc, to fix the issue without reinstalling windows. I'll keep looking
As recommended by Adobe support after succesfuly opening my encore project I tried stoping dynamiclinkmanager and other adobe task which i don't remember the name but it was not pproheadless, and seemed to be working ok so far
Ok, here is the deal, at some point i was getting more errors and was unable to finish my BR - blu-rays. Before I was working in an older win 7 compu exactly the same way as define: Using Encore cs 5.5 with external hardrives that work on macs (mac journaled) using paragon ntfs ( to read and write on those drives without problem). Everything worked as expected on win 7. This issue just happened when i got a new win 8 machine and CS6. So i copy my project to the win 8 compu's harddrive and it worked fine there. i guess I need to start doing everything in drives that have been formagteed as ntfs, not on mac.
