I can't do anything in Encore CS6 except create or open a new project. As soon as I do that, I wait about 10 seconds, and the app instantly crashes. Any ideas? This is frustrating beyond belief.

I have already cleared all Adobe Preferences and nothing changes.
What is the specific error message? I see many references (in searches) to problems with installs/updates that damaged the adobe install.
Are any of your other adobe apps throwing the same error?
Sorry, meant to paste that. I might have figured it out too. I have a Matrox MXO LE w/ MAX (ExpressCard) but it was not inserted as I currently don't need it. That said, it hasn't crashed since I launched with it plugged in. I shouldn't NEED it plugged in for this to work.

I don't understand it either, but interference/changes from other hardware/software is one of the situations involved in similar errors. I suspect that an uninstall/clean/reinstall without the card might fix everything. But keeping the card in seems simpler! And I really don't know...
