Image scaling on white background falters

Apr 23, 2013 11:48 AM

I'm making an intro animation for fotograaf bruiloft with very large photos in it 7948-4370. Adobe has no problem scaling the images to 1920-1080 size.

When I scale the vertical images, the white background appears on the right and left side. The problem that I have occurs when I scale a vertical image to 1080 size and very slowly zoom in.

When the pictures slowly gets bigger, the right and left side of the photo start to falter. The slower the zoom, the more it falters.

This problem keeps occurring even after I rendered my sequence. Is there a way to reduce this?

I hope someone is familiar with this problem and has a solutions for me.

Many thanks!

Not familiar with this problem but I would downrez the image to 2x the size of the frame, before importing.

    See how that will work.

Define 'falter'.  (Or better yet, show us.)

Export the video instead of capturing it using a screen capture utility. Use a YouTube preset. Then we might be able to see it better.

It might just be the fact that you are scaling in less than full pixels. It is hard to avoid in Premiere Pro, not as hard in After Effects.

I'd agree with Steven.  Upload the actual 1080 export, not a screen capture.
