You don't "import" anything "into" Bridge.

Bridge is just a file browser, no more and no less.

You just point Bridge towards the volume you want to browse, in this case your CD.  The CD has to be mounted, of course.  Once you eject the CD, the images are not viewable through Bridge.

If you want to keep the images on your computer, you need to copy them through the method you prefer: the Macintosh Finder, Windows Explorer, the Photo Downloader, etc.

    the Photo Downloader

Sadly enough this ones only works on card readers or image devices like camera, iPhone/iPad and any other that has a camera inside. It would be great to have it working for all occasions but it seems to be an orphan app because it seems still at version 1(although the info states version 7.0.0.0), 32 bit and has not changed for as long I know of its existence

Thanks for the clarification, Omke.  On those rare occasions when I've needed to copy image files from a CD or DVD to the computer, I've always used the Macintosh Finder.

This is all new to me so learning to crawl .

Bumping your head while doing that is the best way to learn (that is, if you don't forget the mistakes you've made)….
