FM 11 crashing when printing

Hello all,

I have just upgraded from FM 9 to FM 11 (also upgraded to Acrobat 11 pro), and since then I can't print, as the comp crashes with an internal error (cf attachment).

I still can:

- save my boof/files as PDF

- convert other docs (Word for instance) in PDF format (using the AdobePDF printer).

- print other docs on any printer I want.

There is no error message when I open my book (there used to be an error message about colors, but I solved it). The problem arises with books using two different templates (different fonts, different text insets, etc..).

I really don't know what is going on, it has never happened before.

Does any of you have any idea ?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you're all updated in FM 11 - I seem to remember an issue with printing book files in unstructured mode was an initial issue when FM11 was released.

Yes, what Jeff said: definitely run the Adobe updaters for both aps and/or

check the downloads page for each to make sure all patches are applied.

Hi again,

This was it, all that was needed was to have install the latest update.

Thanks for your time and input.

What OS are you using, and how much RAM is installed? Also, is there plenty

of space on the hard drive for temp files created during the printing

process?

AND... how are you trying to print? By using the File > Print tool, or File

SaveAs PDF? (And if you're only using one of these tools, try the other

method.)

Finally, are you sure you're selecting the correct logical printer? The

Acrobat 11 install should have updated your list of printers, but devices

from a previous install might possibly linger.

Cheers,

Art
