Photoshop elements 11 won't start up

Apr 28, 2013 8:55 AM

Hi,

Whenever I open photoshop elements 11 it loads up, shows my organizer screen breifly then closes out and gives me a message saying I must back up my files.  I can click cancel, don't show me this message again or click to start the backup.  The backup will run, but both options do not stop the message from showing the next time I try running the program.  Also, the window for the program does not reappear after the message is shown.  I have to force close the program through task manager or restart my computer to get the program to open again-except it gives the back up message and the cycle begins again.  Even I click do not show this message again, it pops up the next time I open the program.  Any one have ideas on how to fix this?

    From the Organizer menu choose:

    Edit >> Preferences >> Files

Uncheck the box: Automatically Prompt to Backup Files & Catalog

    Then click OK

Can you try from the Editor:

    Edit >> Preferences >> Organize & Share

    Thank you!

    Same situation to me.

I install PSE 11 on windows7 64 and it does not start

I'have used the cleanner Adobe tool.

I download PSE 12 and same behaviour.

Me too. PE11 Win 7 pro, i7-2600, 16Gb@1600mhz ram 120GB SSD for win, 2x1Tb HDD. It was working before the security breach. Now welcome screen opens and I pick organizer or editor but nothing else happens, If I open directly from the harddrive i get error messages saying it is not properly installed. I've been on the phone for several hours with different techs. we have unloaded and reloaded several times but no joy. I'm trying to start a photo business but adobe is holding me back. Can anyone recomend a non adobe product?

Looks like Adobe have real probs with Elements. In Organiser my screen freezes all the time. I also have spent time with their Tech guys to no avail. I've gone back to the old 'Freebie' favourite Picassa 3.
