Post Paypal buttons in to Dreamweaver CS6

Apr 30, 2013 1:49 AM

I've created a add to cart button in Paypal, however when I paste the code from Paypal into Dreamweaver it does not work, I end up with yellow code warning notification, but not sure how to correct the problem.

Can anyone advise what I should do.

    You can see the code and cannot figure out the problem. How do you expect us to find the problem blindfolded.

    This is unfair! Please post a link to your site so that we can be on equal footing.

    You have used target="" twice in the form. I'm not even sure what that is to be honest. I would remove both instances:

    <form action="" method="post">

    Change your code to below and it will process properly and validate too

    <form target="paypal" action="" method="post">

    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">

    <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="QUFELQSUGRXGJ">

    <input type="image" src="" name="submit" alt="PayPal – The safer, easier way to pay online.">

    <img alt="" src="" width="1" height="1">

    If you will have a bunch of buttons to place, may I suggest you save the code as a "DW Snippet"

    Before saving, just replace the hosted button value with XXX and when you need a new  button, just select the smippet and click insert.  Then all you need to do is replace the XXX with the appropriate hosted value, and voila, a functioning button that will validate.
