Changing the colour of a vector

Apr 30, 2013 3:12 AM

Hi I have a black vector image on a transparent bg in eps format which I wish to change to white to put on a black bg in illustrator.  The only way I know how is to change it in photoshop with color overlay but when I place it in illustrator, the edges are no longer crisp.  Is there another solution?  Thanks

You say it is a vector image.

What do you see when you view it in Outline mode?

If you only see a rectangle, then it isn’t a vector image.

You would need to Trace it and then Expand to make the paths editable.
