I'm using CS6 and I can't figure how to Intersect Shape Areas. The website I'm using is saying to use the pathfinder panel which I can't seem to find either. Help?

Pathfinder is in Illustrator and not in Photoshop.

If your shapes are separate Shape layers then first target all relevant layers and press Cmd/Ctrl+E to merge them into one so intersections can be found. In the Shape layer which contains multiple paths, use Path Selection Tool to select the paths. Pick "Intersect Shape Areas" in the combining-mode popup menu near the middle of the Options bar.
