I don't know what I am doing different....
I have created an icon in illustrator and saved for web, but when I try to place it in illustrator it has a white background.
When saving for web I left the transparency box ticked...
Does anyone have any suggestions?
OK! One way I can get over this is to save as pdf and then open up it in Photoshop and save for web...
Just don't understand why I am getting the white background when placing in Illustrator?
Thanks for coming by
OK! I am using Illustrator CS6. When I save to web I have a white background?
Another thing I have noticed is my artboard seems to have a black border and is placed on a white background?
I haven't shift command D on pc....
OK! I have seen this before when creating things - but haven't a clue as to what it is...
I have edited this post to show you what I mean. I usually have a grey/brown background outside of my artboards?
OK! Another way I have been abled to fix this is by creating a new document the size of the original and copy the artwork from the original to the new. Then - when I save for web everything is as it should be?
Now this situation must be something someone has come accross
Yes, you are right...lol
I have a template in illustrator that I am testing stuff that I build, but graphics with gaussian blur etc don't play well when you shrink to suit; so I am just testing them in situe as png's.
