Placing .png in illustrator

May 5, 2013 11:16 PM

Hi folks!

I don't know what I am doing different....

I have created an icon in illustrator and saved for web, but when I try to place it in illustrator it has a white background.

When saving for web I left the transparency box ticked...

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you see the checkerboard pattern in save for web? Sounds like you are doing eveything correctly you save for web shoudl look somehrting like this.

After placing in Illustrator do a Shift Command D to toggle showing the tranparency grid to help troubleshoot this.
