Last week I ran the updater, bringing Illustrator up to version 16.0.3 on my work PC running Windows XP, (not the OS of my choosing). Since then, the side-docked panel layout of one of my primary workspaces has grown wider than it was before updating. After disassembling and attempting to get it back the way it was, I find I can't do it...at least not as long as I keep the Info panel at the top of the stack, or anywhere in the docked stack for that matter. All the other panels, (once they are un-docked), either snap back to their minimum width, or are border-drag resizable as normal. Not so with the Info panel though. It is fixed at this new wider size, and imposes its width on any other panel that's docked with it.
Just me? Anyone else?
Thanks Mike, but no dice.
To be clear, the Info panel is wider than it was before, and wider than all the other panels, (when all are un-docked). And, it will not resize by dragging or any other method. It's new, wider fixed width is propagated though any/all other panels docked with it.
I've been using Illustrator nearly every day since IA8, so I have plenty of experience configuring the workspace. I've tried everything I can think of.
It's not that I can't live with this if I have to, but I don't like it.
