CS Exporting to Epub question

May 7, 2013 1:47 PM

I'm using the articles panel so I can have ID export certain items in order. Works fine but I have a few items that are made up of from more than one layer.

For instance an image of a bell is over a pink circle graphic made to look like large bullets. When I export to epub each of these as expected comes up as a separate item. is thewre a way to merge layers to have more than one item come up on top of each other?

I'm sure there is.

last question, I have thre same problem with some text which is actually the chapter title with a rectangle box underneath. I would think merging these would cause me not using that text in the TOC for a chapter title am I right?

any help around these situations?

thx

I would group the objects you want together. Then select the group and rasterize with Object > Object Export Options.

    Yes, group everything, then rasterize.

What Steve said: "Then select the group and rasterize with Object > Object Export Options."

Here's an example. Cover made up of three elements—large picture, small picture and type. All grouped together:

    rasterize1.jpg

Here are the settings in Object > Object Export Options:

    rasterize2.jpg

    Here's the result in ADE:

    rasterize3.jpg
