why no preview icons in mac finder?

May 8, 2013 10:55 AM

Does ID CS5 provide preview images for the mac finder? I have set my prefs to create previews (in file handling). They do show correctly in Bridge. But in the mac finder all I get is the old purple ID icon. Acrobat also gives no preview, but Illustrator does. Also, there's no Quicklook capacity.

Is this a mac problem, or something related to ID?

tks

InDesign doesn't provide preview icons in the Finder. You should use Bridge. However, you can using InDesign preferences to set the number of pages to include and the resolution of the preview image.

You can get a QuickLook capabilities with an inexpensive utility called SneakPeekPro:
