Has anybody heard if there is going to be an Encore CC come June 17th?

Encore is listed, on one of the cloud pages as "other." On the PR CC cloud page I find no mention.

I finally found the only mention I found earlier regarding Encore and the new "CC." Scroll down to "Creative Tools."

    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tools-and-services.html

The page has Encore in a list of "also included." Unlike some of the entries in that list it has NO "CC" after the name. My prediction is that Creative Cloud will include Encore CS6 with no changes. But we shall see. Even a few bug fixes would be nice. Not that I'll be moving past CS6 which I "own." (Ha, ha! Well,  yes, I have a perpetual lease of sorts.)

I worry that the new subscription model will leave little incentive to improve Encore. It is not developed enough for top pros - so many workarounds to get commercial authoring, and users paying the subscription are not likely to leave because Encore is not adequate. Unlikely to see any fixes in CS6 for the big issues identified. Perhaps in the CC future, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, there has been no official word but we are in a position to take an educated guess given the following facts:

1 - Rovi Corporation have killed Scenarist. It is no longer available to buy

2 - SonicCare ceases to exist at the end of this year - December 31, 2013.

3 - Encore is built on the same Authorcore from what used to be Sonic Solutions.

    It does not look good......

Hi, Neil! Good to see you are still around.

    I think you are right.

Wait! Maybe this means that Adobe has acquired scenarist and is going to provide it instead of Encore...  Ha, ha!

    Hey Stan.

    Right back at you!

I have been so busy lately it's been flat out with very little time for the forums.......and I feel guilty about it so thought it high time I dropped by.

Adobe buying the old Sonic/Rovi assets would be great, and would be sensible - but not looking likely.

If they have, maybe the BD section could even get to replication at long last!
