Captions

Hey all.

I am new to Lightroom and would like to know how I add captions to my photos? I have looked in the Help. Read another discussion but what they advise isn't coming up as an option on my screen. I read that there should be an option in the metadata menu. But nothing comes up. Only camera settings and such. Nothing that will let me add my own information. You can only do so much with key words.

Cheers

The "Caption" box is visible depending on what is set in the top L/H of the "Metadata" panel. It becomes visible if you use any of the following:

    1. Default

    2. Exif and IPTC

    3. Location

    4. Quick Describe

    You don't need an update.

    They are shown here:

Personally, I've never been satisfied with Lightroom's default metadata viewing preset.

Consider Jeffrey Friedl's Metadata Viewing Preset Editor, if you want an easy and user-friendly way to customize...

OK - fair enough (baby steps...).

    Cheers,
