Having troubles in Photoshop and Lightroom after update

May 13, 2013 5:38 PM

I am working on a PC, with Windows 7-64 bit and Adobe Creative Cloud versions of Lightroom and Photoshop. Everything is up to date both operating system and Adobe.

I just noticed the following problems this weekend.

1. I cannot import into Lightroom. When I insert a CF card into my reader Lightroom opens as it should but I am unable to import - there is no import button or menu selection to do so.

2. I cannot send any files to be opened in Photoshop. Photoshop does not see the file to be opened and a dialog opens asking what file to open. All that I can see are icons for the Canon CR2 files - even in Bridge.

3. In Photoshop I cannot open any of my CR2 files in ACR, it is not seen as a valid file. I can, however open PSD files.

All of my problems occurred after the latest Creative Cloud update to the Adobe Content Viewer.

What can I do to regain my functionality? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, let AAM reinstall the base versions of the programs.
