We recently upgraded our computers and systems. We are a small non-profit and run our website in house. I am able to do basic updates but am still a website novice (i.e. no codes). We have the newset verison of Dreamweaver and recently our website (www.congressionalaward.org) has link errors in Chrome. The links just go to a blank page with " The system cannot find the file specified.". The links work in IE and Firefox. I ran the Chrome link check and almost the entire page is red with a 404 Error. Does anyone have any advice? Any info or guidance would be very appreciated!
but it seems to work ok in Chrome for me. Which link is giving you problems?
You have some code errors on your home page that need attention.
Starting at the top of your code, you do not have a valid doc type declaration (DTD). This puts your page into Quirks Mode which most browsers don't like.
To fix this in DW, go to Modify > Page properties > Title/encoding and select a DTD that matches the rest of your code. I recommend HTML 4 Transitional. Hit OK. Save.
Validate code in remaining site pages and repeat steps above as required.
