Lighting Effects are missing from my CS5 Program.  I go to Filters/Render/and "Lighting Effects" is not there.  Not even in Gray.  I havea copy of CS3 on my computer and the Light Effects show up in thatProgram.  Does anyone have an idea of what I can do.

What operating system are you using?

In 64-bit versions of Mac OS with photoshop cs5, Filter>Render>Lighting Effects is only available if you run photoshop cs5 in the 32 bit mode.

Before launching the application, do a Get Info (Command+I) on the Photoshop application in the Finder:

You are not getting "the same display" because you are not following my instructions in post #4, which were to "do a Get Info (Command+I) on the Photoshop application in the Finder".

Instead you are selecting the freaking FOLDER icon that contains the Photoshop application icon inside:

    Folder_icon_getinfo.png

Open that freaking folder and select the Photoshop APPLICATION ICON inside that freaking folder.  Now select the application icon inside and do a Get Info on it (Command+I):

    …and there you are!

Applications icons look different from folder icons.

    Hope you got it now.
