Is it still possible to upgrade from DWCS5 to CS6?

May 21, 2013 2:04 AM

I can't seem to find the CS6 from CS5 upgrade for sale. Am I being forced down the cloud route already?

Sorry, I would ask this directly to Adobe, but they have no chat agents online right now.

The new version was already announced and there is no CS7 only CC.  CC, short for "Creative Cloud", is an update to the current CS6 versions out there for perpetual and cloud licensing.  So unfortunately with Adobe it's the entire suite of the Cloud or nothing.  I am disappointed as you are because I knew what was inevitable with people buying the entire cloud and as a result programs like Fireworks will bite the dust because there is no way for Adobe now to accurately tell which programs people are buying since they just have all of them outside of them tracking program usage somehow ( .html ).

Although Adobe's website would have you believe that it's now the Cloud or nothing, DW CS6 is still available for sale as a perpetually licensed product. uct&categoryOID=7240491&store=OLS-US

There will be no CS7 though.

Sorry about that. Link worked for me earlier.

Adobe has made it clear that CS6 is still available for sale after CC launches but they are making it very, very, very difficult to do so. Almost impossible in fact.
