Is Premiere Pro CS6 suitable for converting .mxf files from PAL to NTSC?

Hi

I have a lot of footage that was shot on a Canon XF305 in full res PAL.  I need to convert this to NTSC.  Will Premiere do the job well?  What settings should I use?  I'm using Mac OS X v10.6.8 on a Mac book Pro.

Best regards,

KF

All you need is convert the frame rate, since the NTSC and PAL luma settings do no longer apply to HD footage. Yes Adobe can handle that, both with direct export and with the queue through AME.

If you want lossless compression, use something like Lagarith or UT but it does increase the footstamp. What do you want as delivery format?

    Yes Adobe can handle that

But it won't be pretty.  Adobe has no tools that can do 25 to 30 conversion well.
