InDesign CS3 adds random strokes to boxes?

One department in my company uses CS3 on Mac to create a document that later gets opened on our CS3 PC machines for additional work. But when the document is opened on our PCs, strokes appear to be randomly added to text and picture frames that were not there originally. What is going on here?

    Screenshots would help.

Check the object styles in the two documents. I'm going to guess the document you're pasting two has an object style with matching name with a black stroke instead of none.
