I am creating a test suite of files for a video player we are writting. I don't see an export for AVI. I have seen in CS5 posts that it was there. Where am I missing it in CS6.
I have to create one of each of the following:
Video/Audio Codecs & Containers (8 Total):
QuickTime File Format
Matroska (.MKV, .MKA, .MKS & .MK3D) Open Source.
Theora (Simply known as Theora) Open Source.
Xvid (Xvid). Open Source.
Here's a list of supported export formats:
- Video for Windows (AVI, AVI (uncompressed); Windows only)
Wow thanks Joe. I would have never imagined that a file format would be available on Windows and not on Mac. Guess I'm going to have to install it on my vmware Fusion of Windows and try there. Thanks.
Now, a Mac-user can do some things with AVI, but those will likely be limited. A program, Flip4Mac handles many of those things, including playback. There are probably many other such programs, but being a PC-only guy, am just not familiar with them.
Good luck in your player development,
Thanks all. Again I am trying to build AVI files on a mac, not to be used on a mac, but are needed as a part of a test suite. I just thought I could build an AVI file with PP on the Mac. Again I'll install PP on my windows partition and just build that file there.
