CS6 giving an error while publishing an AIR program

I have a flash professional CS6 Air application that that gives an error while publishing.

Error creating files.

An attribute or element contains an invalid value in the application descriptor file.

(applcation.icon.image128x128)

I get the same error for all icon sizes.

When I remove all the icons from the publish settings the AIR application publishes correctly. I have checked the image sizes which are correct, and they are all PNG files.

are you publishing a desktop app?

if yes, delete the swfname-app.xml file and republish.  if that fails with the same error, resave your 128x128 icon.
