photoshop elements 8.0 needs de-activating

Looked under the help menu and no deactivation link

On going to uninstall theres no de-activate option either

Anyone know how to de-activate elements 8?

    Deactivate is in Editor>Help menu, not in the organizer.

    Before you do that, try starting the editor from the button in the organizer while holding down ctrl+shift+alt. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

    It means you weren't activated to begin with, so no worries. See:

    That isn't necessarily from anything you've done. People sometimes get that error when it's only been installed on one computer. Contact activation support:

    and they can get that straightened out for you.
