Type Tool

How do I type continuous text ie line by line using the above

    Yoiu should be able to type normally and then hit return to start the next line.

    Or you can drag with the type tool to create a text box before you start typing and the text will flow automatically. Resize the text box afterwards and the text will reflow.

    Ensure your line spacing is not set too large. I find its best when set to auto (see image) and then pressing return starts a new line immediately below the one above.

    If that does not work, try selecting the T tool and then do a re-set.

    Oh sorry, maybe I misunderstood what you wanted. In a text box you don't use return/enter, just type and the text automatically flows so that it fits in the box. If you want each line of text on a separate line, type a line, click the commit button, type another line, click the commit button, etc. Each line will be on its own layer.
