I am creating a dvd with menu set from Encore that I have modified. Everything works properly except I got an error message stating that I needed to set the Title button. After looking in the forum, I was able to determine that I wanted Return to Last Menu (especially since this was the option with most dvds I use). So I found it once I was in the Build tab.
The problem is that it is greyed out.
What do I do? I really don't want to set it to default back to the main menu. It seems unfair for the viewer and much more work for them.
then perhaps my lack of understanding is based upon using the correct terminology. I believe on some dvds, pressing the title menu button brings the person back to the last menu used. For example if someone is viewing individual chapters instead of playing the whole dvd and they want to see chapter 6, they scroll to that chapter and hit play. After viewing part of it and wanting to go to another chapter, they press the title menu button which brings them back to the chapters page and not the first page of the dvd.
Am I right in this? I did create a dvd in Encore that sent the dvd back to the opening page by pressing the title button, but again, I don't want to confuse the viewer and if I am doing it wrong, I want to correct it.
Thank you for your feedback!
I do not claim to understand this. See Title Button and Menu Remote here:
You will see that, in Encore at least, the Title button is set for the whole disk, and the Menu Remote is set per timeline. It looks like you can do what you want by selecting one or more timelines, and setting the Menu Remote to last menu. but the user has to select the menu button, not the title button.
I understand it perfectly! Now I understand why the title remote button is grayed out. It seems that when people used the title button to go to a last menu, it was incorrect. Very cool! Thanks for the help finding this document.
