How do I create an anchored object that DOESN'T wrap?

Jun 14, 2013 5:02 PM

Greetings all,

I'm trying to figure out how to do something, and maybe I'm going about it all wrong, but here's what I'm trying to do:

I've got a menu with prices flush right. My goal is to have the price in white with an ellipsis frame behind it in black to create reverse type. I was thinking that I could create the frame, go to text wrap and have it not wrap, and then send it to the back, and insert it as an anchored object.

A few problems: (1) even though I have the text wrap set so that text won't wrap around it, text still wraps around it when I place it as an anchored object. (2) Once it's anchored, I'm not able to send it to the back.

Here's what I'm trying to achieve, but with an anchor:

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Anchored objects are alawys int fron to the text in which they are anchored, so you're going to have to put your price into ellipse object. You shoule then be able to use a custom position or inline with a bit of baseline shift with no wrap.
