I am overwhelmed by what it says I have to do? I will try it all but I don't understand why I have to do all this. what went wrong? It might be easier to just buy Photoshop 11 as a new one is due to come out and you can usually get the old version marked down. Just makes me mad as I don't use photoshop that much - and to have to go all through this. Sounds complicated but I will try it when I have a few hours. Thanks for the quick response.
I am trying to do the steps now. Solution 1 - I did find the FlexNet Publisher in Library/publisher so I went to Solution 2 and am downloading the repair too.
I am reading the instructions and it says drag list recovery launcher.app onto the terminal window- what is the terminal window?
OK I figured out what the terminal window is and I got all the way to typing sudo python and dragging the LicenseRecoveryLaunder.app then hitting return and then I am prompted for a password that I do not have (when I turn on my laptop - I do not use a password) and anyway when I try to type anything - nothing will type in the space.
Are you sure I can not uninstall and reinstall my PSE 8 - I found the disk. This all goes back to when my hard drive was going bad and they replaced it and I did a time machine back-up. It is all Apple's fault. They screwed up IPhoto and IMovie too but they did fix that.
any suggestions? Do you work for Adobe or just a wonderful person helping me?
You do not need to enter anything if you don't have a password. Just press the return key.
Very few people here work for adobe. The ones that do have a badge that identifies them as staff members. The rest of us are just other customers like you.
You can try reinstalling if you want, but many times the flexnet folder thing isn't affected by that. It wouldn't hurt to try, I suppose.
