Has anyone else experienced this? Is thers a work around?
Exactly what are you doing? Bridge open and you click on Start button and type in a search word?
How much RAM?
I reinstalled windows search. Rebooted computer. Opened bridge and it froze. I uninstalled the search, rebooted and bridge works. I have 32G of ram.
I use Win7 but have no idea how you can uninstall and reinstall windows search. Is this an add on program by a 3rd party?
GO to "programs and features" in control panel and left column. You can turn on and off window features--learned that from microsoft.com
Are talking about MS indexing? Yes, you can select which folders you want indexed, or have none indexed. Search to me is just typing something in the search box. If you have indexing off (like I do) it just takes longer.
I believe the search function is different. There is a check box in the windows feature to turn this on and off. I'm trying to understand why this active function would interfere with bridge.
