Bridge CC not displaying video files

Bridge CC not displaying video files - I just installed the new Bridge CC and I am unable to view and play my video files.  The files are Quicktime files.  The title of the file is displayed with a QT logo, yet no video is registered.  Has any one else has had this issue or has any advice?

    First select one icon and with right mouse menu choose 'purge cache for selection' if this works use menu tools/ cache/ purge cache for folder

    I am having the same issue here. I just installed Bridge CC and am also unable to view quicktime and mp4 files and I cannot preview them either. It does however, preview and play .flv files??

    Any help would be greatly appreciated?

    In File Type Associations in Bridge what does it show for default program to open them?

    Do you have Quicktime installed?  It is default program for Bridge.

    Wish I could say the same.

    I have tried those suggestions to no avail. I do have QuickTime installed as well as vlc. I have tried switching it all to vlc in the hope it would work but alas.

    Maybe re installing QuickTime might work??

    I tried re installing and updating to latest version of QuickTime and it still did not seem to work.

    I installed Bridge CC on my mac laptop and that seemed to work fine but not on my PC.

    Any other ideas?

    Answer to post #3 is needed as we have no idea.

    Answer to post #3 is yes. I do have quicktime installed and it is picking up quicktime as the default player for mov files and mp4 etc..

    It does indeed show up in my file type associations in bridge. (quicktime Player Quicktime 7.7)

    I have also done the cache purge with no success.

    Here is what worked for me on Mac 10.8.4

    preview wasnt working for me either until i did this.  Preferences > Advanced > "Generate Monitor-Size Previews"  , enabled that and i started seeing the thumbnails and was able to play in bridge;

    Hope this helps
