I need to work extensively with Asian scripts. Does Creative Cloud work well with Asian scripts?

We previously used copies of InDesign from the US. As a result, we had a very difficult time typsetting Asian scripts until we were able to get Japanese InDesign copies.

I saw that CC has support for many languages; does this mean that we can have copies of InDesign that will work with Asian languages? Can the interface for this be English?

Each app has different languages available.  For the current list, please take a look at this page http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tech-specs.edu.html

Indesign CC includes dictionaries and composition support for languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, and Indic languages.  You can see all the new features at http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/features.edu.html

In pre-CC days, the only way to use an English-lanuage interface for accessing Mojikumi, Kinsoku, etc., was to install World Tools Pro.  I'd guess it will take a while to update the plugin for CC.  (I dimly recall CJK versions of Quark could use an English interface, but it's been years since I checked.)

    Hi there!

The short answer is no, the feature isn't available in the English UI at the moment. With Creative Cloud, you can, however, easily install the Japanese version of InDesign if you'd like.

As David pointed out, you'll need to install the World Tools CJK plug in to enable this feature. The Asian language paragraph composer is different than what's included in the world compser and we currently don't have an English CJK version of the software. Peter has shared a link to download Asian language templates and it might be worthy to take a look at: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4013264

Please send us a feature request if you would like to see English CJK to be included in future releases. Don't lose hope yet Thanks!
