I was wondering if you could have like a frame of some sort inside a flash swf that when a button outside the frame is clicked it loads an url withing the frame? Preferable "live and active" like a frame in HTML.
New to flash, not sure if this is even possible?
well theres a start. it's not a web based, it's stand alone. Running PC, not mac, but i don't think that matters with AIR right? So AIR would work in this case.
How would I go about doing that with AIR? And is AIR different than writing ActionScript 3, or is it just a different publishing process?
use the HTMLLoader class:
var htmlLoader:HTMLLoader=new HTMLLoader();
awesome, i'll give that a go. Also, as a stand alone I may not be accessing the site via the web, I may have the HTML locally. THe AIR app will be on a USB. If I had said HTML files on USB too could I use this same loader class to locally access these files?
