Is it possible to view a webpage within a flash swf?

Jun 21, 2013 3:09 PM

I was wondering if you could have like a frame of some sort inside a flash swf that when a button outside the frame is clicked it loads an url withing the frame?  Preferable "live and active" like a frame in HTML.

New to flash, not sure if this is even possible?

    you can do that if you're using an air project.

    if you're using a web-based swf, the best you can do is to open the current (or some other) window to the web page.

    use the HTMLLoader class:

    var htmlLoader:HTMLLoader=new HTMLLoader();

    addChild(htmlLoader);

    htmlLoader.width=stage.stageWidth;

    htmlLoader.height=stage.stageHeight;

    htmlLoader.load(new URLRequest("http://www.adobe.com"));
