CTL + ENTER to test SWF, NOT WORKING?!?!

Jun 21, 2013 5:09 PM

When I hit CTL + Enter to test my movie in Flash Professional CS6/CC  all that comes up is a white stage.  If I go to: File > Publish Preview > Flash, it works fine.

Why does one run while the other doesn't?

I have all the latest Flash Software and players, fresh clean installs.  Only doesn't work with this one function....

Just a guess but... you may have something installed on your computer that is running in the background that uses that key combination and it is overriding Flash.

Is it happening with all movies? or few specific FLA files?

make sure there's a target flash player selected in the publish settings target combobox.

i've seen that occur in flash cc when no flash player is selected (though i have no idea how no flash player can be selected and have never seen or heard of that problem before).
