attach a screenshot (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4209263#4209263) of the directory showing the file that you've downloaded.

click the link.  it explains how to take a screenshot.

i want to see the file (and it's extension) you downloaded to determine whether you downloaded a windows file (if you have a windows os) or a mac file (if you have a mac os).

No images were attached to your post.

The most reliable way to attach an image here is to use the camera icon in the toolbar when you post a message

There's no installation file shown in the screenshot. What's inside the Elements 11 folder?

Should be an installation file named "PhotoshopElements_11_WWEFDJ.dmg"

All that's listed there are a few web pages (ReadMe files with .html extension)

you may have downloaded the windows installation file, not the mac one.

Just re-download the Mac trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements &loc=us

Launch the trial, enter your serial number.

    Done.

Moving this discussion to the Photoshop Elements forum.

It appears ACunni789 is facing difficulties with launching Photoshop Elements as opposed to downloading and installing the software.

How are you trying to open it? From the button in the installation screen? From the welcome screen? From the organizer? From the editor?
