A client of mine is telling me that" I want to go back to the .fla files and add masks to hide the bits outside the frame border."
I have to crop a .fla file that was not done by me, (I have very little knowledge in Flash!) so that the publishers can use it. The animation has images flying in and out of the stage, and it has to be restricted to 630 x 480px.
Is there some export method for this in CS 5.5? I can't find it for the life of me!
thanks, but I tried that. There's about 40 layers, and some just will not mask.
Is this typical for online publishers to demand the below? :
I thought you just publish the .fla and then it becomes usable and cropped in the HTML form
I'm waiting for these guys to get back to me, but they;re being awfully slow.
i've never created ads so i can't say anything about what's typical or not typical.
but, the request is pretty reasonable: anybody that moves from novice flash user to intermediate learns to NOT put items on the backstage.
items on the backstage are a major problem IF you ever load that swf into another swf.
anyway, create a layer folder and move all 40 layers into that folder. then mask the folder.
