Is there any possible way to retrieve a lost file?

Jun 26, 2013 3:38 PM

I have a MacBook Pro. I have been creating graphics with Flash, and the program shut down. Then it showed a recovered file, so I started to work in that. Then that disappeared and there is no trace of it. Is there ANYWHERE I might still retrieve it?

I have this in the address bar

RECOVER_Untitled-1_20130618151405.fla*

Will this info let me find the file, or some version of it?

    search for fla files.

if you have a working swf, you may be able to decompile it and create a working fla.

and, if you find even a corrupt fla, don't delete it.  you may still be able to extract, at least, some of your assets.

Did you close the recover file without saving by any chance????

If you have swf corresponding to that file  like kglad said, you can import swf to Flash CS6 and recover you assets.

Just check the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CC/en_US/Configuration folder if you had never saved the file, otherwise you can check the folder where the original version of the file was saved and you had some unsaved changes.

You can also check the file AutoRecoveryFilenames.txt under ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CC/en_US/Configuration. That'll have the full path of all the auto-recovery files saved by Flash.
